Stallions Stampede 2K/5K Run 10K Relay and We Can! FitZone Family Event

The Texas Stallions Track Club Cross Country team in Spring, Texas, will host the Stallions Stampede 2K/5K Run 10K Relay and We Can! FitZone, Saturday, October 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The run will take place on the Red and Green trail of the Forest Oaks Park, 19023 Joanleigh Dr. in Spring. Entry fee ranges from $15 - $37.50 per person and the 5K route is a USA Track & Field-certified course.

The event will also feature the free We Can! FitZone, a resource fair with various children’s activities.

The Texas Stallions Track Club 2nd Annual “We Can!® FitZone”, sponsored by Downsize Fitness is a Children’s Health and Fitness Fair for kids of all ages is returning to the Forest Oaks Park on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 8am – 12pm. The FitZone is free community event held in conjunction with the Stallions Stampede fun run offering youth and family’s fun and useful tools and information for healthful living.

The event aims to promote healthy living in youth through family education, increased physical activity and reduced sedentary time. The event is a fun day of entertainment and activities, FREE Giveaways and Goody Bags filled treat for kids and parents, as well as many local and regional area businesses providing information on their family-friendly businesses.

About Texas Stallions Track Club

Texas Stallions Track Club is a year round youth running club based in Spring/Klein, TX. The club welcomes boys and girls of all ability levels; ages 6 - 18. The Cross Country season begins in early September, Indoor Track & Field in early January, and Outdoor Track & Field begin in mid February. Practices take place 3 days per week. The club also participates in a variety of meets and competitions against other local youth clubs. The club belongs to the Gulf Association of USATF (USA Track & Field) - the national governing body for all running-related sports in the United States and the Gulf Association of AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) – the largest youth sports organization.
